The Lords of The Ring - 1 Borneo, Kota Kinabalu

On Saturday, 22nd November 2008, an event was held at the largest lifestyle hyper mall in East Malaysia, 1 Borneo Kota Kinabalu. The 'Lords of The Ring' event took place at the North Atrium from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

A total of 20 teams participated in the competition with groups coming from Sipitang, Keninggau, Tawau, Papar & even Kuala Lumpur!

The Red Bull Mini as the Energy Station and also as an attraction to audiences and passerby.

The judges were from KL & included Malaysia BBoy President: BBoy Suicide DA4, BBoy Wakaka & BBoy Wan. As soon as they arrived, the competition kick started at 12:30 p.m. The judges briefed the participants about the rules and regulations of the competition, the do's and don'ts and wished all participants luck.







It was a tight fight between the 20 teams. The teams that made it to the 2nd round were fighting their way to victory, showing off their skillful talents.









Just look at the crowd. They were not only supporting the teams, but also cheering for their favourite Bboy team.

Not only the participants are getting their energy boosted up but also the media and the public for the upcoming rounds.





Among the interesting performance was that the Best BBoy finals, required the BBoys to dance with the REDBULL drink!



In the final round, there were three chosen teams to compete amongst themselves. This round took longer than expected due to the hard decisions of the judges to decide which team will take the place of the 2nd Runner-up, 1st Runner-up and the Champion. The results were announced with full curiosity and anticipation from the teams and the audiences.

Champion: Lunatik Crew (from Tawau), winning RM1,500 + trophy + cash vouchers from Bod Bodynits and Star Three Sixty + 1 night stay at the Imperial International Hotel.



1st runner-up: The Borneo Crew (from KK), winning RM1,000 + trophy + cash vouchers from Bod Bodynits and Star Three Sixty.



2nd runner-up: Morning of Ghost (from KL), winning RM500 + trophy + cash vouchers from Bod Bodynits and Star Three Sixty.



BEST BBOY 2008: BBoy Kinobu, won RM250 + trophy + REDBULL Items.



After the prize giving cermony, a photograph session took place which includes the three winning teams.



Although the event ended later according to schedule, it was a success..a BIG thanks to the sponsors: 1 Borneo, Imperial International Hotel, Bodynits and star three sixty, all the media involved.

And last but not least, the Red Bull team. Well done!

Red Bull Female Driver Search Stop 2 -- IPOH!

As the team was driving into Ipoh, the first thing we noticed were some outstanding buntings and banners!






Imagine our surprise (okay, not really) to discover that the banners and buntings were actually OURS! =D

Our next stop on the Red Bull Female Driver Search nationwide tour was Ipoh, Perak and our venue for this location was Dataran MBI, which was right opposite Ipoh Parade!

This was our first stop in Peninsular Malaysia so we were really nervous about it, but everyone was so great and the particpants were really sporting so in the end we really didn't have anything to worry about!

Red Bull Female Driver Search, Kuching

Late last month the Red Bull Female Driver Search crew boarded a plane and headed off to the Land of the Hornbills for the first stop on the nationwide Red Bull Female Driver Search!

Everyone was really excited not only because this was the first stop on our 9-state tour it was also the first time the Search is being held in East Malaysia!

Our search in Kuching was held at Boulevard Mall on beautiful Saturday, the 25th of October.

As the first stop for the Search, there was also a press conference to mark the start of the Search.

After the press conference, registrations were open and interested participants were encouraged to sign up.

Apart from the open registrations our Rookies also made a simple track for the Red Bull RC Car Challenge where contestants stood a chance to win a great prize!

After 8 hours the search was finally over - thanks to all the wonderful people from Kuching who came by and took part.
